One year of war...
Like tonight, we gathered right here on Day 1 to protest russia's barbaric invasion of our Ukraine.
And we stood here on Day 3 and Day 7 and Day 40 and on many other days to let the world know that russia is evil, that it is killing, raping, torturing and destroying in Mariypil, Bucha, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Gostomel, Isium, Kherson, Kramatorsk, Vinnytsya, Bakhmut, and that Ukraine needs arms to protect its people from genocide, to defend its land, its independence and our freedom! Glory and honor to all those who fought and who shed their blood to defend Ukraine, eternal memory to all whose lives were taken by russia’s barbaric war.
On behalf of Ukrainians in the Carolinas, our small but mighty network of Ukraine advocates, we thank our local NC community for supporting Ukraine. You have stood by our side for the last 9 years. Over the last twelve months, in addition to your generous financial donations to our Ukraine relief efforts, you opened your homes to hundreds of Ukrainian families looking for refuge in our state. Thank you!
Ukraine is free, it is idependent-thinking, it has millenia-long history, yet it is young and forward-looking. Ukraine values human life and cherishes human dignity, Ukraine does not give up and with all the western military support (praying for F 16s!) Ukraine will win. It is unbeatable, it is unbreakable, it is invincible!
Для наших українських друзів та колег – від нашої групи українськіх волонтерів Кароліни – дякуємо, що стоіте з нами вже 10ий рік. Дякуємо за те, що разом працюємо на перемогу. Ми не воюємо на фронті, ми воюємо в тилу. Девять років і особливо останні 365 днів пройшли як один жахливий вибух тревоги, страху, болю, провини. Але народ України, іі армія, наші українські партнери волонтери, медики, українські переселенці постійно нагадують нам і всьому світові: Україна жива, Вона вічно буду жити, бо в серці має те що не вмирає. Слава Україні!
Попри цю війну, за ці 9 років і особливо останні 365 днів, ми згуртувалися, ми стали сильними, ми прийняли виклик часу, ми допомогали і будемо продовжувати допомогати. Тактична медицина, гуманітарна допомога, швидкі, фільтри для води, генератори, пункти незламності, допомога родинам загиблих і ветеранам. Не складаючи рук, разом до перемоги. Нагадуємо світові, що Україні зараз потрібні винущувачи і очі-дрони. Тримаємо стрій. Імперія зла паде. Все буде Україна!
