WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Our first beneficiary: a family of Kseniia Mahjoub.
Kseniia was on the last weeks of pregnancy when russia invaded Ukraine and the war started. Chernihiv, the city where she purchased her own house only 2 years ago, got bombarded.
Kseniia, her husband and their 8y.o. daughter took shelter in the nearby building in the 9 sq meter basement along with 3 other families for days. When they got a word that the hospital has been bombed, she knew they had to leave. They were given 10 mins to pack their belongings as they fled under gunshots and bombs across the last bridge out of the city. It took them 8 days to reach Germany first and eventually they ended up in Sweden.
There she gave birth to their twin boys - Adam and Liam. And learned that their house is completely destroyed.
Our 2nd beneficiary: Solomia Fedynyshyn & her future son.
Solomia is 19. Her 22 year old husband was killed by russian bombs on March 13. Solomia is 9 months pregnant. Their son will never see his father.
Sofia is from my native town, therefore helping her hits home on so many levels.
